The Benefits of Eating The RAINBOW!!

Rainbows are the beautiful magic of the nature. Rainbows bring the magic of water, sunlight and colours. It’s the symbol of diversity as it brings all the colours which represent strength, cooperation, harmony and resilience. This same applies to our food too. Mother nature has provided us the different fruits and vegetables with beautiful colours nourished by sunlight. Do we ever wonder why these fruits and vegetables are so colourful and not black and white? It’s because of the various nutrients present in them, deeper the colour more effective the nutrient.

To better understand why it’s important to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables, let’s discuss the benefits of eating The Rainbow (VIBGYOR)!!

Before going straight towards the fad diets consuming only soups or depriving ourselves of all the kind of carbohydrates, first try eating a balanced diet.

Next time while planning meals try to incorporate ​three colours every day and all the colour over the week.​More the colour on our plate, more we will consume micro-nutrients.
